QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING HELP

Coop Control Troubleshooting Tips

Symptom:
The unit makes the same sound it makes when you turn it on, when it should be
moving the coop door.

Possible Resolution:
The unit’s battery may be low due lack of sunlight or no power at your AC
outlet. Check your battery voltage, it must be above 12vdc. If it is below that, charge the battery externally at no greater than 2 amps for a few hours.

Symptom:
The unit does not open or close when it should at daylight or dusk.

Possible Resolution: Turn down both of the delay close and open potentiometers, and cycle the power off and back on. The door should open or close in a few minutes. If the door does not operate, check all your connections. Then cycle the power and wait again, if there is still no operation. It is likely that the photo sensor has an issue. Possible Resolution: The unit’s battery may be low. Check your battery voltage, it must be above 12vdc. If it is below that, charge the battery externally at no greater than 2 amps for a few hours. Also, this could be the coop arm connections. Check the black and red arm wires for proper connectivity.
